Dear purple butterflies,
I use the same seven spoons every day. Now I combine my spoons so they range from taking my medicine in the morning, running errands and finally eating dinner with (you guessed it), medicine time again! I do take comfort in the fact that I am certainly not alone. This June twenty-seventh will mark my thirteenth anniversary with my hubby. For those of you who are curious, I looked it up and the material that symbolizes the thirteenth wedding anniversary is lace. On our wedding day, we danced to the song "Beauty and the Beast," from Disney's Beauty and The Beast. I would love to be able to do this again with my husband.
In order to do so I need to add to my already seven-plus spoons. I need to exercise more, which won't be a problem because it will be worth it. My husband has no idea I am even thinking about doing this. He doesn't even know I am writing this blog about it! However, he certainly will once I post it! But that is okay! He would love the fact I am planning to do this. That is why I fell in love with him thirteen years ago and still love him today.
I am curious how the rest of you feel about this, but I don't mind having the spoons pile up. At one time in my life, I had the weight of the world on my shoulders. When my pain became too intense, I learned to prioritize my spoons. Once I did that, I was able to add more spoons. What gets me through all the pain and medicine is knowing there is someone there for me.
I decided to sketch out my own little spoon. Please leave a comment below sharing your thoughts! That's all for this week purple butterflies!
Till next time! ~ Rachel
